This illustration for hip hop artist Astronautalis was commissioned to be directly based on a digital single released in early March, 2011. His song “Midday Moon” is in turn based on an episode of “This American Life” which dealt with the initial fumbles of Cryogenics. The concept for the illustration as well as the selection of subjects to be portrayed was a collaborative effort.
